TYPES

Types of Surrogacies

We will give you a solid understanding of what to expect from consultation to surrogacy matching to legal and medical procedures.

GESTATIONAL SURROGACY

In this type, the surrogate mother carries an embryo created using the egg and sperm of the intended parents or donors through in vitro fertilization (IVF). The surrogate has no genetic relation to the baby she carries.

TRADITIONAL SURROGACY

Here, the surrogate mother is artificially inseminated with the sperm of the intended father or a donor. In traditional surrogacy, the surrogate is also the genetic mother of the child.
